With the holiday season coming fast upon us, many people are making plans on where they want to spend time and which activities they would like to enjoy. It’s true that many people will want to join their families in whatever location they may be.
But, others will want to mix family time with vacation time. Spending the holidays in the Poconos Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania appeals to many who like the snow and activities like snow skiing, hiking and barbequing on the deck.
One way to get away for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years or anywhere in-between is for people to book Pocono vacation rentals this far in advance. Quiet cabins and lakefront chalets are what many couples and families need to unwind.
And, if you book your vacation rental in one of the Pocono’s famous resorts such as The Hideout, then you’ll have many amenities just minutes away. If you’re the adventurous type then you might enjoy skiing, snowboarding or snow tubing down nearby Big Bear, Montage Mountain, Shawnee, Tanglewood and Elk Mountain.
Other nearby destinations are Bushkill Falls (or the Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania), Costa’s Family Fun Park with kiddy cars, go-carts, an arcade and restaurant, or Dingman’s Ferry Bridge, the oldest toll bridge in PA, built in 1900.
With the holidays just around the corner, the time to make plans and book reservations is now. Perhaps a quiet cabin with plenty of activities just minutes away is just what is needed during the stressful holiday season.
